AGDA on Crowdsourcing

I know it's more timely to review last week's night of nights in book design, but I haven't got to that yet. If any of you would like to post about anything 'book design' or the awards please email me and I will upload. I spoke to several of you last week and I haven't forgotten your promises.

But I just saw this and need to send it through before it also gets relegated to the 'should have done' pile.

Garner Garner

Last weekend I read in The Age, an extract from the speech by Helen Garner at the inaugural Stella Prize, awarded last month in Melbourne to Carrie Tiffany for her second novel Mateship with Birds.

I love Garners writing! She's so bloody honest it's breath-taking. She always puts herself out there and says what most of us are too frightened to say. I couldn't find The Age extract again this morning, but I found it elsewhere and, in light of this being the week for book design prize giving, you should all have a read if you haven't already.
